The "Punacha Pariyalthadka Aided Higher Primary School", established in 1905 as a symbol of the generosity of the late Chakrakodi Sri Subbanna Shastry with the aim of promoting the education of poor students in the village, has a history spanning nearly 120 years.

ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ 1905ರಲ್ಲಿ ಊರ ಬಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಶೇಷರಾದ ಚಕ್ರಕೋಡಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಬ್ಬಣ್ಣ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ಉದಾರತೆಯ ಪ್ರತೀಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ "ಪುಣಚ ಪರಿಯಾಲ್ತಡ್ಕ ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ"ಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 120 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ.
